Backwards input

Occasionally, my input box will quite simply reverse itself. The scrollbar moves to the left side, and my typing becomes right aligned. It seems to be a key combination, though I have no idea what it could be.

Furthermore, occasionally I'm unable to type, and clicking anywhere results in a menu with one greyed out entry: (no alias menu).

Could anyone help me fix these? It's kind of annoying.

Please help us by advising the version of MUSHclient you are using. Use the Help menu -> About MUSHclient.

You see that normally if you Ctrl+Click on the output window. So it sounds like it thinks Ctrl is down. This might be caused by "Sticky" keys.

Sticky keys is a feature for disabled users (eg. who have to type with one finger). Once enabled you press one key (eg. Ctrl) and then move your finger and press another key (eg. "C") thus allowing you to type Ctrl+C with only one finger.

I'm not sure how it is enabled, maybe if you hold down Ctrl for 5 seconds it auto-enables. After that you are likely to get the symptoms you describe.

If you have no need for it I would disable the sticky keys feature.

See Control Panel -> Accessibility Options. Uncheck "Use StickyKeys".
