It'd be kind of nice if the MUSHCLient would show what your password is instead of doing the aestrisks (*) for the letters. Or is there way to do it?

Rather than fill in the password field, add stuff to the "connect text" box instead. That is plain text, so you can see what it is. For example, leave "Connect" as "no auto-connect" but underneath (in "Connect Text") put something like:
Werildan <-- your name
swordfish <-- your password
