I believe Nick is already headed in this direction, but I wanted to throw in my vote for MSP. I'm curious though as to why it wasn't included in a previous release. From a moron's view, it seems relatively simple in that it's just a bunch of triggers to play wave files. For myself I managed to write a simple VB script to play the wave files. Since the prompts tend to be no more than something like "!!SOUNDS[wavfile...." it was easy enough to code.

However, I did run into the catch that multiple wavs can't be played simultaneously. I'm just curious as to the approach that has to be taken to implement MSP. What say you good Sir Nick?

You have hit the nub of the problem. I found working with sounds fiddly, and had the problem that starting one sound would cancel another. However for what it was worth I thought someone keen could make a trigger (since triggers can call scripts, and scripts can play sounds) that would do it anyway.

However I have since found a product that I can purchase to add to MUSHclient (in the form of a DLL) which will play multiple sounds.

Therefore, look forwards to MSP in the next version.

Old thread, lol.

Version 4.28 of MUSHclient will now play sounds simultaneously:
