It's me again

I redownloaded the Rom server and started it it loads fine and I can connect from my pc but now when a friend tries to connect they get an error saying something like server may be down.
any ideas?

It could be a few things:

You gave him the wrong IP address
He typed in the wrong IP address
There is no link between the two PCs (eg. one or both is not on the Internet)
One or both of you has a firewall blocking that port
If you are running inside some kind of internet sharing arrangement then incoming connections might need to be redirected to that PC, however outgoing connections will work OK

I figured it out my ethernet card was conflicting with my modem. Now does anyoen know where I can fidn a makefile for ROm 2.4b6 with OLC?
