Is there some way to set a custom connection timeout time?

I've looked at that before. First thing is that MUSHclient doesn't specify a connection timeout (in the code), so changing it isn't simple (you can't change a number you don't provide in the first place).
I looked at Microsoft's documentation, which is pretty obscure when it comes to TCP/IP. Probably a bit depends on which version of Windows you have. I would try hunting through MSDN or their web site, and see if you can find a Registry setting that increases the timeout time. Personally I couldn't, last time I tried.
