I've just started using Mush Client and i'm a bit unsure how to set targeting. It may not be possible but it my newbie experiance I've often been able to get a couple of Alias' and variables to set up so i can target something and then say punch the target. However I'm having trouble working out how to do this. Could someone please help?

Basically, you set the variable with an alias (send to: variable)

then in your punch alias, you send "punch @variable" and check "expand variables"

of course, you'd rename variable to whatever youd like, target or whatnot.

The variable and punch target work, however I can't get the target to work, I have to actually type the thing i am targetting in the variable as the alias to do that for me isnt working. What shuld i do?

Did you write the variable name to send to in the alias?

Try that, itll show you basically what you need. Of course, you could make it a regexp, and change the variable name, and the alias itself, but this one works.

Oh yeah, to try that, Copy the whole thing, (inside of the lines) and go to the alias page (the one with all your aliases displayed, not an individual alias edit window), and push the PASTE button. Then the alias will be pasted to your world.
