Undefined characters in input screen

Not sure if this is a bug, or if it's just me, so I'll post it here first. When typing input, I have been confronted by strange characters on my input screen. I am running a standard telnet session to a lily server using MushClient. The problem is more prevalent when I type beyond the text wrap, but will occur even if I don't text wrap. Nobody else sees these characters which suggests to me that they occur locally only. The characters are displayed as: 

In addition, this is an excerpt from a messag I sent to myself. Notice how the server response does not indicate these characters or repeat lines:

I'm just a lurker here so please don't take my words as SageAdvice (tm).

That said, have you tried changing the font's you are using through MushClient?

I have never seen this, and no-one else has ever reported it. Do you mean those boxes appear on their own, or in place of something you type?

It looks like it was a font problem. I managed to change from the default Fixedsys to Arial and it seems to have solved the problem. To answer your question about when it inserts the boxes, it was inserting them after approximately 40 characters, but I can't seem to get it to repeat the problem now that I've changed the font. Even changing the font back to Fixedsys, it seems to have solved the problem. I'll repost under this title if it pops up again and next time I'll test it a little more thoroughly. Ah-hah! Problem discovered. It turns out that I had the output buffer wrap on at 80 characters and, when I exceeded 76 characters (not sure why it subtracts 3), the terminal would echo those bizzarre box characters onto my screen. When I reduced the buffer to 20 characters, it showed up at the 17th character. Turning the "wrap" feature off alleviates this for about 500 characters, or you can change the output buffer to a 500 character limit, but the problem never actually goes away. Guess I just have to keep my messages under the 500 characters.

Ah, this clarifies it a bit. You mentioned in your original post that you had problems in your input screen, but now you say the characters appear in the output screen - is that right?

What version of MUSHclient are you using? Some earlier versions did have a problem with drawing characters to the output window.

If it is the latest (3.15) then you have found a bug. I usually use FixedSys myself so that particular font should not be a problem. Also I usually have the output window at 80 characters so that should work too.

Do you have "auto resizing" of the output window turned on?
