greetings all. i have a quick issue i'd like to clear up with my mud. i use smaugwiz version 2.02 and wonder how i could add an object to an area already made. for example. i wish to take darkhaven square and add a board to it. i've done this and the board works fine however it wont last after a reboot. im aware i can 'instaroom' however rassigning a room to myself would overlap the other would it not?
also another issue i've come across. i was just made aware that mdelete,rdelete and odelete where not made of my version. is there a way i could then remove say a room i created and descided later did not want or need without halfning to remove it manually and chanceing bugs of all sorts?

Did you add a reset for the board in the room or did you just load it and expect it to last forever? We really don't know enough about your problem to help you fix it yet.
sorry bout that. ok what i did was i first created an object and set it as a furniture...i copyed another boards specs as closely as i could save for the place where it says 'in room:' i dont know how to set that. then i did bset and set up all the vnums etc. the board worked. now as far as the reset i did one yes but im ont so sure i did the right one. i did one where if the room resets the board is there. to test this i ate the board making it completely gone. i then enterd the room and typed 'reset room' and poof it was there again. but when i rebooted the reset and everything was gone. however the board settings
'd'haran.brd Vnum: 25011 Read: 50 Post: 65 Rmv: 58 Max: 200 Posts: 1 Type: 0' is not. its still there but the object i created with that vnum no longer exhists and so the board wont function. also the reset for it is gone.

you aassign yourself the area file (normally newdark.are)
aassign newdark.are
then you ceate the object, set it up, amke it un-proto etc, drop it in the right room, type instaroom, and then save the area incase something goes wrong
savea
and then fold it
folda newdark.are
and then clear your area pointer
aassign none
