cannot execute binary file

I get this message from the server shell when i try to startup rom:

../src/rom: ../src/rom: cannot execute binary file

Do I have to compile different? I've tried uploading in ascii and binary

Anybody?

Have you compiled it? What did you type exactly to try to execute ROM? Did you compile it on the target machine? Or, did you compile it at home and then upload it?
