I have the latest version, but it crashes every time I try to open Output to alter or add an alias or trigger. In fact, it crashes any time I try to do anything with my preferences.

Please help us by advising the version of MUSHclient you are using. Use the Help menu -> About MUSHclient.
"Latest" is ambiguous.
In my downloads folder. That's where I had my last version, too.
Also, yeah, sorry. It is version 5.03. I tried it on a previous version, too, and it still won't work.

That's odd. What version of Windows are you using? Do you get any other messages? When I make my entire folder read-only I see this when attempting to change a global option:
Quote:
attempt to write a readonly database
attempt to write a readonly database
Windows 10 x64. No other messages.
Message reads: "Mush client has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution." It doesn't find a solution and closes.
Try moving the MUSHclient folder to the desktop and see if that fixes it.
Sorry. 30 minute timer before I could post again. It was my Windows update. It's working now! Thanks for your help! Feel free to delete this thread. :X
I'll leave it here in case it happens to someone else. :)

There should be a way to reset the timer if someone with thousands of posts replies to the thread...
There is a link you can click next to the user's name "Mark as trusted", Fiendish. You could always click that. :)
Good point. I'll remember to use that.
