Recently had an issue with paste not working in mushclient and the problem does not seem to be limited to only that program, but tothers as well. i found the culprit on my machine to be Webroot SecureAnywhere, and you had to tell it to allow mushclient and other programs in identity shield feature.
if you have this issue and have that program installed this is most likely your problem.
