Command Input Window

I'm new to the client, and really not the most tech/computer savvy. There are two things that are bugging me with the command input and I am wondering if someone can help me out.

The first is the 'saving' of the 'last 5,000' commands. I'm finding that it's barely saving -any- of the commands I enter. For example, in the MUD I play, you can buy crabtraps, but have to buy each individually. I enter 'buy crabtrap' and then hit the up arrow so I can repeatedly enter the command to get my traps, yet 'buy crabtrap' doesn't show up as my last command. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The other thing that is bothering me is that I'm used to hitting the down arrow to erase what I was previously writing, so I can start writing something new in the command input. When I try this on MUSHClient, it pops up with an annoying box that I have to hit 'Okay' on twice for it to go away. Does anyone know how to make the down arrow erase what's in my command input without having that annoying box pop up?

Thanks for any info!

It doesn't save the same command repeatedly. However to repeat the last thing you entered just hit Ctrl+R.

As for the confirm before replacing, go to Configuration -> Input -> Commands -> Keyboard Preferences and uncheck "Confirm before replacing typing".

Alternatively, hit Esc which erases your typing. (For this to be active you need to check "Escape deletes typing" in the same place).
