Hi,

I've been trying to figure out how to contact you all day. lol I hope you can help me.
I'm trying to get the soundpack for Materia Magica working with the Mushclient. I play Alter Aeon all the time, and I think it's a great experience. I love Alter Aeon, and the sounds are amazing. I know the soundpack for MM will not be as detailed as they are for Alter Aeon, but I'm still trying to get them to work cause I like the client..
The instructions I'm trying to follow are below:
MUSHClient supports MXP and MSP, with the help of a plugin. Follow this step by step guide to enable sounds. You'll need to do a few things yourself, but
they're pretty easy to do.

list of 7 items
1. Download
the following sound packs provided by Materia Magica and take note of where you save them.
2. Locate the MSP directory underneath your Mushclient installation directory. If you used the default installation, it should be located at path C:\Program
Files\MUSHclient\msp
3. Unzip the files into this directory.
4. Download the Materia Magica MUSHClient MSP Plugin:
MUSHClient MSP (MUD Sound Protocol) Plugin

Download
Details
5. Again, if you used the default installation, save it to C:\Program Files\MUSHclient\worlds\plugins, or the equivalent on your system.
6. From the file menu, locate "Plugins". This will bring up the Plugins screen. Click the "Add" Button. Locate "mm_msp.xml", select it, and click "Open".
You should have placed the sound files exactly where they are needed, if not, follow these instructions on how to manually configure the plugin:
list of 2 items nesting level 1
1. Type:msp:path C:\\Program Files\\MUSHclient\\msp\
2. Type:msp:type mp3
list end nesting level 1
7. To enable and disable sounds ingame, type SET SOUND ON or SET SOUND OFF. Assuming everything is set up correctly, you can test sounds by KNOCKing on
any door.
list end

My problem is, I do not see a MXP or MSP directory in mushclient. I've tried running it from the C:\ProgramFiles like it says, and it says error, directory not found.
So, I don't have these directories. How am I supposed to get these sounds working? I've downloaded the soundpacks, and I'm having no luck with getting them to work.
Please help.
Please Email me at staindaddict@juno.com

Thanks.

It looks like the default installation does not have an MSP directory, so just use the Windows Explorer or similar to make one, inside the MUSHclient directory in Program Files.

The whole Mushclient directory that's supposed to be in ProgramFiles is not there. I only see a muchclient directory in my documents. Should I create the SMP directory in there? Even if I do that, it will not be under C:\ProgramFiles\

The ProgramFiles just means where you installed Mushclient to. If it's not ProgramFiles, you must have installed it elsewhere; check there.

Where-ever you have MUSHclient.exe, put the MSP directory (not the SMP directory). Put your sounds in that.
