Currently, the title bar displays the text MUSHclient - [MUD name] and seems unchangeable. It would be nice if plugins could call a function to change it. It would make switching to the right window much easier and faster when several windows/alts are connected to the same server if it was showing the text MUSHclient - [character name].
I always use the char name, in the world name field. Which accomplishes exactly what your after.
*Shrugs*
Only reason i could see why it might be a problem is if you have the same character name on multiple muds. In which case you could do "Charname (Mudname)" in the world name field i guess.
Mushclient is designed to have multiple worlds open at once though. So you shouldn't need a different mushclient open for each.
Another thing that helps is if you turn on window tabs(try it out)
Global preferences > General > window tabs "top"
Nice trick with the world name file, but it requires to enter it manually and cannot be used if the world is loaded from a world file. Many players can't or don't want to do anything beyond clicking an icon to start MUSHclient.
Thanks for the update. I have downloaded version 4.87 and I have an issue (bug?) with SetTitle. Each time that the client receives data from the server, the title reverts to the default title (MUD's name) for a split second.
Oops. I see what you mean. I was testing with the "tabs" and the tab doesn't do that. The window title does, however.
Also, is this what you wanted? I note that you asked for the "main" title to change, but actually I changed the "world" title (the window within the main window).
On the Windows Task Bar, the old information (eg. "MUSHclient") still shows.
I think the change is useful if you are using window tabs, because you can see at a glance which tab is for what. But not if you are doing Alt+Tab.
It's fine as it is, the only issue is the flickering title. I see the new title in the Windows task bar because by default, the world window is in full screen/stretched and its title gets transferred to the main window.
