| I have recently begun to use the smaug server, and downloaded the necessary files from this site. I'm currently testing and learning so bear with me.
Before doing anything, there seems to be some bugs included with the code. The first thing I want to fix is the missing endif bugs I'm receiving for mobs.
For example, I'm getting a missing endif bug for mob #10399 (the mistress tsythia). In looking at newacad.are there doesn't seem to be any missing endif's from what I can find.
Any ideas on this fix? and other mobs as well?
Also, if there are any other things that I will need to fix right away, please let me know. I appreciate it. | | Top |

| Which version are you using?
I just tested with a new directory (from the download .zip file) and I didn't get any missing ENDIF's.
I used smaug1.4a.

| I'm using 1.4a that I downloaded from this site. And I have missing endifs for a few mobs, but #10399 (mistress) comes up the most frequent, every 2 seconds it tells me of the bug. The other 3 or 4 mobs tells me of a bug about ever 15 to 30 seconds.
I'll try downloading it again, and re-installing it. who knows maybe that will work, if you think of anything in the mean time, that would be great.
Thanks | | Top |

| This doesn't sound like a code problem but a corrupted area problem, where are you downloading the source from, and
have you made any changes to the area files, or added any newones?

| | It sounds like bad syntax in a one of the mob programs in that area file. It occurs when you are, well, missing an 'endif' in the code, which is required at the end of an ifcheck. Make sure all the areas and such are current; the most recent download of smaug should not contain areas with bad syntax =) | | Top |
