The forum search feature (on the bottom of every forum page) has improved functionality for finding posts that match your criteria.

You can now search for:

  • One word and another, eg. "dog and cat"
  • One word or another, eg. "dog or cat"
  • Exclude words, eg. "dog and not kennel"
  • Combinations, eg. "dog or cat and not feeding"

Because of this change the older functionality of being able to search for phrases has be de-implemented. For example, you can no longer search for the exact phrase "man in the moon". Such a search would now find a posting with the words "man" and "in" and "the" and "moon" all in them, however not necessarily in that order.

We think the new functionality will be more useful, especially as the number of posts increases. For example, to find a posting about using the MUSHclient script functions "addtrigger" and "addtimer" together you could search for:

script addtrigger addtimer
