I notice that today we have reached another milestone on this forum - 200,000 views. A view is recorded when a "thread" is looked at by anyone (not necessarily a registered user). A thread being a "subject" in forum terminology, or a related series of posts.

Views are not registered if you merely look at subject lists, only when you look at the actual posts.

Here are the stats right now ...

  • Registered users = 812
  • Posts = 7,000
  • Subjects = 1,653
  • Views = 200,035

The last milestone was on 9th April 2002, when there were 100,000 views. So, in about 5 months a further 100,000 viewings have occurred.

Also it is interesting to see that the number of individual posts is exactly 7,000, and the number of subjects (ie. threads) is now 1,653.
