The server that hosts my web pages (mushclient.com, gammon.com.au and various others) went down suddenly yesterday.

They are all hosted at Futurequest which made this announcement recently: Major outage across multiple services.

In particular:

FutureQuest had a major building power outage in our Mitsubishi UPS system that cut power to all of our equipment. The UPS kicks in very fast to bridge the power loss from Building facilities to Generator switchover.

This power outage caused all servers to undergo unclean shutdowns, and in particular our SAN file systems to have corrupted “changelog” meta files that are critical for proper operation.

I apologise for any inconvenience, but as you can see the matter was totally out of our hands here.
