I have been advised by FutureQuest:

Quote:

Over the last two weeks we have noticed an unusual number of crashed tables on MYSQL18 which is causing us to suspect that there might be a hardware problem even though it hasn't reported one.

In addition, the MYSQL18 server has been experiencing abnormally low performance during the nightly backup runs.

We will be upgrading the hardware to reduce the impact of the backups and the old hardware can be put through more intensive off-line testing. The new system will have a slightly faster CPU and twice the RAM.

When: (Today) Monday, Feb 13, 2012

Window: 11:00 PM - 3:00 AM ET

Duration: 15 - 30 Minutes

Impact: Loss of access to MySQL

The forum will be unavailable during this time.

Apologies for any inconvenience.
